  • Incirlik Air Base ACE program reaches one-year milestone

    The 39th Air Base Wing recently reached the one-year mark with its Agile Combat Employment training program, Aug. 28, 2021.  Incilrlik Air Base started its ACE program last year as part of the Air Force initiative to develop and maintain a lean force of multi-capable Airmen, ensuring a fast, efficient response to evolving threats.

    Victory Day is a Turkish national holiday that's celebrated on Aug. 30 each year. It's the day of the great and final victory between national Turkish forces over Greek invaders in 1922. The Ottoman Empire, which was in power for almost 600 years, was on the losing side of World War I. After the war, Turkey was divided and occupied by British, French, Italian and Greek troops.
  • 728th AMS Airmen deploy in support of Operation Allies Refuge

    Twenty four air transportation specialists assigned to the 728th Air Mobility Squadron deployed from Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, to Southwest Asia to run aerial port operations in support of Operation Allies Refuge, Aug. 20, 2021. The team comprises Airmen with various service and experience levels, from those who are only a year removed from high school to others with more than 16 years of service. Their deployment supports the U.S. military’s mission, directed by the President of the United States, to facilitate the safe, expedient evacuation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigrant Visa applicants and other at-risk Afghans out of Afghanistan.
  • US Consul to Adana experiences 39th ABW and mission partners for the first time

    Consul Amanda Pilz, U.S. Consulate Adana principal officer, visited U.S. service members stationed at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Aug. 24, 2021, experiencing for the first time since assuming her new role how the 39th Air Base Wing and its tenant units work together to defend NATO’s southern flank and promote shared U.S.-Turkish interests in the region.

  • 39th CES dedicates facility, honors fallen airman

    The 39th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal flight dedicated its facility to Tech. Sgt. Phillip A. Myers during a ceremony at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Aug. 6, 2021.   • Feast of Sacrifice

    The Muslim world will celebrate “Eid al-Adha,” an Arabic term meaning “Feast of Sacrifice” starting this Monday, July 19. In Islamic tradition, this historic event started when Prophet Abraham was ordered to prepare his son Ismael as a sacrifice, an order which Abraham and his son unquestioningly obeyed. But Ismael’s life was spared and exchanged for a ram. The offering of the sacrifice has become an annual celebration to commemorate the occasion and thank God for his favors.
  • 39th ABW welcomes new commander

  • Air Force Assistance Fund Campaign kicks off at Incirlik

    The annual Air Force Assistance Fund campaign at Incirlik Air Base will officially kick off March 15 and run through April 23. The AF Assistance Fund raises money for four charities that take care of Airmen, Guardians, and their families. The Air Force Enlisted Village, the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation, the Air Force Villages Charitable Foundation, and the Air Force Aid Society.
