INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Türkiye --

The 39th Medical Group conducted a public health emergency exercise at Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye, Aug. 19, 2026, to evaluate its ability to respond to a simulated public health emergency. The exercise challenged personnel to practice patient processing, assessment and response procedures while evaluating coordination and communication across the installation.

Members of the Spanish Patriot Unit also participated in the exercise, providing U.S. and Spanish personnel an opportunity to train alongside one another and strengthen interoperability. Exercises like these help ensure Incirlik AB personnel and mission partners remain prepared to respond to public health emergencies while protecting the health, safety and readiness of the installation.
