728th AMS hosts 'Safe & Sound’ exercise to sharpen safety skills

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkiye --

The 728th Air Mobility Squadron hosted a safety exercise in support of Safe & Sound Week at Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye, Aug. 12, 2026.

Since 2012, the Department of the Air Force has partnered with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Safe & Sound Week. This partnership encourages members to maintain a culture where safety is an operational priority that directly supports mission readiness.

The 728th AMS’s exercise simulated workplace safety hazards, challenging teams to identify the incidents to prepare Airmen for operational risks and ensure continuous mission readiness.
