Pergamon: City of Firsts
Kryptoporticus, the undergound passage that leads to the Treatment Building, at the Asclepion, in Pergamon, Türkiye, the city of many firsts, Jan. 21, 2023. The Asclepion, the world’s most famous ancient medical center, was an ancient healing complex at the base of the Pergamon acropolis, built in honor of Asclepius, the god of healing.
