  • ADAPT: combatting substance abuse correctly

    When you are faced with an internal battle, the Air force provides many avenues to seek help. Whether this avenue is mental health or a wingman, the tools provided to keep Airmen at their best are available 24/7. One resource provided is the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment program, commonly known as ADAPT. This is a program used to not only help Airmen when an alcohol-related incident occurs, but to also provide tools to curb habits before they start.

    The 39th Logistics readiness Squadron is made up of four flights. Within the squadron individual flights such as individual protection equipment, hazardous materials pharmacy and distribution and deployment provide Incirlik Air Base services to keep the Airmen ready to complete various missions across the installation.

    To meet the functional fitness requirements of battlefield Airmen, the Larger than Life weight room was renovated to allow Titans the ability to sharpen their individual readiness, meeting the Air Force’s new Tier 2 training requirements. Tier 2 physical fitness standards require battlefield Airmen to meet specific demands of their career fields and missions.

    On March 29, the wing leadership of Incirlik Air Base held an Airmen Appreciation BBQ to recogninze the hard work and dedication of Airmen from across the wing.

    The 39th Air Base Wing leadership recognized two Airmen with the Larger Than Life award at Inicirlik Air Base, Turkey, Mar. 6, 2019. The monthly award highlights Airmen for their dedication and hard work.
  • You’ve got help: Clinic creates new ways to treat mental health

    Those words once described the video teleconference machines in the 39th Medical Operations Squadron mental health clinic until the innovative Airmen here found a new way to use them. Creating a new routine with the existing capabilities, providers can now provide readily accessible mental health care for all of Incirlik Air Base’s permanent party personnel, deployers and geographically separated units.

    If it involves a “boom” it’s almost guaranteed that the 39th Maintenance Squadron Munitions Flight, also known as Ammo, was involved.
  • Faces of Maintenance

    The 39th Maintenance Squadron supports the 39th Air Base Wing, U.S., NATO and U.S. European Command Southern Region with intermediate-level aircraft maintenance, conventional munitions and war reserve material in support of Overseas Contingency Operations.
