    U.S. Air Force Airmen attended a holiday tree lighting ceremony at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Dec. 4, 2018. U.S. Air Force Col. Britt Hurst, 39th Air Base Wing commander, spoke during the ceremony and stressed the importance of rest and relaxation during the holiday season in order for service members to stay mission ready.

  • Larger Than Life

    Congratulations to U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Robert McSweeney, 39th Communications Squadron cyber transport systems technician, for winning the deployed Larger Than Life Award. McSweeney is deployed from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England. One of McSweeney’s responsibilities is to maintain and preserve Incirlik Air Base’s infrastructure network. Additionally, McSweeney closed 15 trouble tickets, which lead to Incirlik AB being the No. 1 base in United States Air Forces in Europe for return-to-service rate.
  • 13.1 miles to celebrate 71 years

    Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, hosted a half marathon on Sept. 22, 2018, in celebration of the U.S. Air Force’s 71st birthday on Sept. 18. The marathon had over 60 participants that included U.S., Turkish and Spanish members, who completed a total of 13.1 miles.
