  • Incirlik Air Base commemorates 20th anniversary of 9/11

    Nearly 100 service members assembled at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in northern Virginia. Among those in attendance was Tech. Sgt. Amanda Brown, 39th Health Care Operations Squadron flight chief of ambulance services, women's health and allergy immunization. She attended the event because as a native New Yorker, she was directly impacted by the day’s events.

    The 39th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal flight dedicated its facility to Tech. Sgt. Phillip A. Myers during a ceremony at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Aug. 6, 2021. Myers made the ultimate sacrifice during combat operations while serving in Afghanistan due to injuries from an improvised explosive device on April 4, 2009.
  • Incirlik observes Fire Prevention Week

    The Incirlik Air Base Fire Department instructed a class on proper fire extinguisher use in observation of Fire Prevention Week. Fire Prevention Week commemorates the Great Chicago Fire of Oct. 10, 1871, which killed approximately 300 people, destroyed roughly 3.3 square miles of the city, and left more than 100,000 residents homeless.
