  • ADAPT: combatting substance abuse correctly

    When you are faced with an internal battle, the Air force provides many avenues to seek help. Whether this avenue is mental health or a wingman, the tools provided to keep Airmen at their best are available 24/7. One resource provided is the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment program, commonly known as ADAPT. This is a program used to not only help Airmen when an alcohol-related incident occurs, but to also provide tools to curb habits before they start.

    The 39th Logistics readiness Squadron is made up of four flights. Within the squadron individual flights such as individual protection equipment, hazardous materials pharmacy and distribution and deployment provide Incirlik Air Base services to keep the Airmen ready to complete various missions across the installation.

  • IG names SFS Airman superior performer

    Lt. Col. Robert LaMore, 39th Air Base Wing inspector general, presented a coin to Airman 1st Class James Cline, 39th Security Forces Squadron modern facility operator, April 17, 2019, at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. The IG and the Wing Inspection Team identified Cline as a superior performer during a recent exercise where he administered self-aid buddy care to wounded individuals and fireman carried injured personnel out of the affected area to a safe location for treatment.   • Talented titan

    Happy Titan Tuesday! Today’s Talented Titan is Airman 1st Class David Engle from the 39th Air Base Wing Command Post. These days Engle is an emergency actions controller, but prior to joining he was controlling the unpredictable wildfires that plagued the west coast. While he isn’t putting out wildfires today, he credits the skills he learned over the 10-year timespan with his sound decision making tactics in high stress situations that saved countless lives and resources. Now that’s what we call Titan Strong and we are proud to have him on our team.
  • Airmen appreciation BBQ

    On March 29, the wing leadership of Incirlik Air Base held an Airmen Appreciation BBQ to recogninze the hard work and dedication of Airmen from across the wing.
  • Phantom lift

    The 39th Maintenance Sqaudron crew chiefs demonstrated and exercise that tested their ability to recover damaged aircraft by practicing with an F-4 Phantom II March 8, 2019, at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. The lift helps maintain the mission by increasing operational effectiveness, as well as improving on the processes to minimize further damage to downed aircraft.
