A team of female Airmen assigned to the 39th Air Base Wing hosted a Women's History Month panel to share their priorities and personal stories to educate and inspire attendees. According to the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, over 230,000 women serve in the active-duty military, comprising 17% of all service members. Women also constitute 33% of DoD civilians. The Department of Defense has observed Women’s History Month annually since 1987, increasing its focus and prioritization of diversity, equity and inclusion across the workforce.
