The sacred road in Asclepion located in Pergamon, Turkey, the city of many firsts, Nov. 13, 2021. The Asclepion, the world’s most famous ancient medical center, was an ancient healing complex at the base of the Pergamon acropolis, built in honor of Asclepius, the god of healing.
