Build-a-boat competitor, Staff Sgt. Martin Wallace, 39th Contracting Squadron, seals a seam in his team’s home-made boat, Thursday, May 21, 2009. Teams were given four pieces of cardboard and two rolls of duct tape to build the best sea-worthy boat possible before the event. Five teams competed and prizes were awarded for fasted boat, best decoration and first boat to sink. The 39th Civil Engineer Squadron team finished in first place and was awarded a $100 gift certificate to be spent at a services location on base.
