Build-a-Boat

Build-a-boat competitors, Staff Sgt. Martin Wallace and Airman 1st Class Christopher Jenkins, both from the 39th Contracting Squadron, re-enforce an end on their team’s home-made boat, Thursday, May 21, 2009. Teams were given four pieces of cardboard and two rolls of duct tape to build the best sea-worthy boat possible before the event. Five teams competed and prizes were awarded for fasted boat, best decoration and first boat to sink. The 39th Civil Engineer Squadron team finished in first place and was awarded a $100 gift certificate to be spent at a services location on base. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Benjamin Wilson)
