Mesut Dikel, an Ebru art instructor, demonstrates how to create a flora design during a class Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the Arts and Crafts Center here. Mr. Dikel has been creating Ebru art, a unique Turkish art form, for nearly 24 years. Ebru, or paper marbling, has been practiced in Turkey since the 15th century and uses all-natural products, from the brushes to the paints. The center plans to offer the class monthly. Timmy Gatherum, 39th Security Forces Squadron, undergoes a surgery where the doctors placed a port into his left arm that allowed him to receive medicine and give blood samples much easier.
