Airman Leadership School graduation class 11-2
Chief Master Sgt. Marcus Snoddy, the 39th Air Base Wing command chief, awards the John L. Levitow Award to Senior Airman Stanley Graham, of the 39th Communications Squadron, during the Airman Leadership School graduation for class 11-2 at the consolidated club Dec. 3, 2010 at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. The Levitow Award is the pinnacle achievement for enlisted Airmen enrolled in professional military education in the U.S. Air Force. Preventive Surgery
Suli, a 39th Security Forces Squadron military working dog, receives prophylactic gastropexy, also referred to as stomach tacking, to prevent gastric torsion, or twisting of the stomachThursday, Aug. 27, 2009 at the Veterinary Clinic, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. The surgery was completed after a recommendation by the Army, the service in charge of medical care for the military working dog program, for all dogs in the program to receive the surgery. Fight to live
Staff Sgt. Michael Limiac, a 39th Medical Support Squadron medical information systems technician, coordinates mixed martial arts training sessions in the Fitness Center at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. Sergeant Limiac lives by the motto, “Live to fight, fight to live.” Participants of all skill levels attend the workouts and train to build on their knowledge of the sport. Ebru Art
The Incirlik Arts and Crafts Center here hosted an Ebru art class tought by Mesut Dikel. Mr. Dikel has been creating Ebru art, a unique Turkish art form, for nearly 24 years. Ebru, or paper marbling, has been practiced in Turkey since the 15th century and uses all-natural products, from the brushes to the paints. The center plans to offer the class monthly.
