Titans of Incirlik: Senior Airman Melodye Mosby
Congratulations to Senior Airman Melodye Mosby, 39th Air Base Wing Command Post senior emergency actions controller, for winning the deployed Larger Than Life award. Mosby volunteered to come on the 120-day manning assist temporary duty to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, from Aviano Air Base, Italy. In recent months, Mosby has worked primarily as the senior emergency actions controller, and led a four man team during a high controller turnover period. “Great mentors are the key to going down the right path,” said Mosby. “I would like to thank my supervision here, as well as at Aviano, for getting me to this point.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Titans of Incirlik: Capt. Jill Smokovitz
Congratulations to Capt. Jill A. Smokovitz, 39th Air Base Wing Inspector General inspection and exercises director, for winning the permanent party Larger Than Life award. Immediately after arriving to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Smokovitz initiated an Operational Readiness Exercise action plan in preparation for a base wide inspection. Smokovitz was nominated by her office for presenting important qualities, such as being a leader, clear communicator, savvy collaborator and enthusiastic facilitator. “Thank you to the IG team for putting in the hard work to prepare for the NSI,” said Smokovitz after receiving the award.
