Turkish students learn Native American culture
Tuba Bada, Gundogdu Liesesi school teacher, translates while Staff Sgt. Sharon Black briefs an audience of almost 50 high school students and some teachers Dec. 3 at the Gundogdu Lisesi School in Adana. Sergeant Black's brief focused on Native American culture specifically the Navaho Nation. The brief was conducted to strengthen the bonds between 39th Air Base Wing and the local community.

Tech. Sgt. Hector Contreras, 39th Operations Squadron, excitedly crosses the finish line of the 39th Air Base Wing Combined Federal Campaign Bike-a-Thon Nov. 15. The bike-a-thon challenged participants to cycle as many eight-mile laps around the flightline perimeter as they could in two hours. The event raised more than $600 for the CFC.
