Incirlik's 39th MXS and 728th AMS Conduct CDDAR Training
U.S. Airmen assigned to the 39th Maintenance Squadron and the 728th Air Mobility Squadron transport air pressures valves during a Crashed, Damaged or Disabled Aircraft Recovery training at Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye, Oct. 30, 2025. The air pressure valves were used to regulate airflow through hoses and into airbags, which were positioned under and used to lift a dormant Turkish Air Force F-4E Phantom aircraft during the training. Incirlik's 39th MXS and 728th AMS Conduct CDDAR Training
U.S. Airmen assigned to the 39th Maintenance Squadron and the 728th Air Mobility Squadron transport airbags during a Crashed, Damaged or Disabled Aircraft Recovery training at Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye, Oct. 30, 2025. Following a series of earthquakes that struck central-southern Türkiye on Feb. 6, 2023, Primas returned from emergency leave in the U.S. and worked side-by-side with international volunteers to transport humanitarian aid supplies for affected Turkish citizens. In partnership with the 39th Logistics Readiness Squadron and the Turkish Air Force’s 10th Tanker Base Command, the 728th AMS established a new staging area on base that would become known as the “Ring of Fire” due to its circular shape, its primary purpose as a training area for the base fire department, and the rapid rate at which cargo is transported to and from the area.
