The 2nd Turkish Air Force Band performs March 10, 2011, for personnel from the 10th Tanker Command, Airmen from the 39th Air Base Wing and their families, at the base theater at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. The 24 band members performed at several Turkish air force bases to celebrate the centennial birthday of the Turkish air force (also referred to as THK). Act of Merit recognized at Incirlik
Col. Scott Enold, the 39th Mission Support Group commander, presents the Bronze Star medal to Capt. Matthew Lapham, from the 39th Civil Engineer Squadron, Feb. 17, 2011, at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. Captain Lapham deployed as the 506th Explosive Ordinance Disposal flight commander and served with Joint Task Force Troy supporting 1st Brigade of the 1st Armored Division. During his time in Iraq he led 32 Airmen, six soldiers, four contractors and two interpreters to complete 597 successful missions. He also supported over 16,000 coalition forces and over one million local civilians across a 42,000 square-mile battle space in Iraq. Federal Voting Assistance Program
For the first time ever, the Federal Voting Assistance Program is opening its biennial voting poster and slogan contests to U.S. citizens worldwide using the website, www.challenge.gov to facilitate the process. There is no limit to the number of entries an individual may submit for either contest. All entries must be received by April 8.
