News Briefs for July 23 to July 27 Published July 19, 2007 By 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Sultan's Inn New "Test" Hours: Monday, July 30 - Friday, August 10 Due to customer requests we will be having a trial test period for these proposed new hours: Breakfast: 4:30 to 8:30 a.m.(staying open an extra 30 min) Lunch: 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. (Opening 30 min later) There will be no changes for dinner, midnight, or the early breakfast hours on Saturday or Sunday morning. Club Beyond Beach Day: August 3, 07, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Open to all Middle School and High School students! Join Club Beyond and Outdoor Recreation as they snorkel at Kizkalesi and lounge on the beach! Cost is $18.00 - Sign up and Pay at Outdoor Recreation prior to August 2, 2007. 2007 Youth Soccer Season: August 27- November 3 Registration is on-going now through August 17. Volunteer Coaches Needed: Volunteer sports coaches are needed for the upcoming Youth Soccer and Flag Football Seasons. If you are interested please contact the Youth Center at 676-6670. Tree Cutting: Starting now through the end of July, Civil Engineering will be cutting down trees in the Phantom housing area. Some traffic and parking restrictions may be necessary to allow construction to proceed as efficiently as possible. Always be aware of your surroundings. Proceed with extreme caution and keep an eye out for the unexpected. Be watchful for construction vehicles moving in and out of work zones. We appreciate the patience and cooperation of everyone who is temporarily inconvenienced by the landscape improvements. Juice Bar Operation: located downstairs at the Fitness Center. Incirlik Skate Park Plan: The ramps in the Skate Park have become unserviceable. The plan for returning the Skate Park to use will be for the 39th Civil Engineer Squadron to demolish all of the ramps and repair the pad. In the short-term, the remaining rails will be open to skaters. When funding becomes available, Services will procure portable ramps. For details, call the youth center at 676-6670. Rock Climbing at Arkadas Park: Every Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Arkadas Park bouldering wall. Join in with a group of friends who climb every Wednesday evening for fun, fitness, and to learn a thing or two about rock climbing. We bring extra climbing shoes to lend so please wear thin socks!
