Our outstanding Airmen never cease to amaze me at how they get involved to make things happen from raising funds for the Air Force Enlisted Village to giving quality of life inputs for our wing. Our wing has been very successful in the past and it is all because of Team Incirlik's members' pride and desire to continually improve things.

The Air Force Enlisted Village is a charity that is near and dear to the hearts of our enlisted corps. Contributions make it possible for this organization to care for the spouses of our Airmen.

Every year each Major Command presents a check to the Air Force Enlisted Village on behalf of their wings. Our wing's goal for this year was $1,200 and thanks to several key point of contacts and Team Incirlik's generosity, that goal was met and exceeded.

This year our wing will forward a check to U.S. Air Forces in Europe in the amount of $2,000. These contributions will significantly increase the quality of life for the Air Force Enlisted Village residents.

Team Incirlik is no stranger to quality of life improvements. Our members are not short on ideas and suggestions on ways to improve our quality of life. We receive requests on everything from batting cages and go-cart tracks to new beds and sinks in the dorms.

Wing leadership evaluates each suggestion to ensure not only the feasibility, but also the cost involved. These requests are then prioritized based on the above factors to include the number of people that will benefit from each suggestion.

USAFE recently funded our top four priorities we received more than $280,000 to fund the following:

· 300 additional Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Lines (ADSL) for our dorms and family member housing.
· New sinks and cabinets for Dorms 894 and 896.
· Fitness equipment, lockers and jerseys for Ankara, Izmir and Incirlik, and
· A baptismal for the Incirlik Chapel.

We've done well this year.

Team Incirlik, continue to send us your quality of life recommendations and we will continue to evaluate, prioritize and request funds. Your ideas and suggestions are the very reason we have been so successful in the past and will continue to be successful as we ensure freedom's future.
