For our newcomers arriving in Turkey this summer, the first thing you will see and feel is the heat of the weather, but more importantly the warmth of the Turkish people, which comes from their hearts.

Turks are very friendly and unbelievably hospitable. They will go out of their way to help foreigners. Turks always ask you if they could help you in any way. They are ready to share their food and drinks with you.

Traditionally foreigners are accepted as guests sent by God. Turkey receives millions of tourist every year, and Turks are quite accustomed to meet with foreigners.

Turkish cuisine is very rich and so delicious. Every region and city has its own special dishes.

Adana is the sixth largest city of Turkey with about two-and-a-half million people. It is about five miles west of Incirlik Air Base.

United States Air Force personnel have been living with the locals of Adana since 1955, and they understand each other very well.

There so many touristic and historical sites to visit and see in and around Adana.

Please feel free to contact me now and when you arrive and ask me any question you might have regarding Turkish culture, history, traditions…etc.

Kindly,
