39th MXS welcomes new commander

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey --

Lt. Col. Shad Colgate assumed command of the 39th Maintenance Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony here, July 14.

Prior to taking command, Colgate served as the Joint Munitions Officer for U.S. European Command in Stuttgart, Germany.  

An assumption of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal acceptance of authority and responsibility by the incoming commander.
