INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey --

Lt. Col. Timothy Meerstein took command of the 39th Communications Squadron during a change of command ceremony here, June 14.

Prior to taking command, Meerstein served as the chief of the operations division, communications and information directorate, Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Florida.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
