INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey --

Lt. Col. Nathan Mansfield took command of the 728th Air Mobility Squadron during a change of command ceremony here, June 9.

Prior to taking command, Mansfield was the lead observer and trainer on the Joint Staff in Suffolk, Va.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
