Incirlik AB customer service hours change

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey --  In order to best serve all Incirlik AB personnel and families, customer service hours at various facilities changed Aug.12.

Locations with new customer service hours include the post office, Military Personnel Section and finance office. The updated hours are good news for customers and will allow for more access to facilities for Airmen and families.

"The hours changed as an initiative to widen the support for our customers," said Staff Sgt. Ricardo Wood, 39th Force Support Squadron, customer service passport agent. "It's sort of like the Field of Dreams, 'if you build it, they will come.' Well, the logic here is, 'If we are open, they will come.'"

There will also be no more office closures for training days so Airmen and family members can get the care they need every day of the week during normal duty hours.

"We simply want to be available for our customers," Wood said. "We are in the business of serving and, as you know, we strive to give our customers what they want."

The new hours benefit customers who are on shift work or just have a hard time getting the services they require.

"The benefits of our new customer service hours at the post office are that our customers can come in earlier to mail out their packages, in-process or pick-up their packages that have already been processed and are ready for delivery," said Master Sgt. Jeremiah Scott, 39th Communication Squadron post master.

With this new way of doing business comes changes to some base wide events like the monthly wing promotion ceremony.

"To improve esprit de corps, camaraderie and organizational pride, the wing promotion ceremony has been moved to 4:30 p.m.," said Senior Master Sgt. Eric Butt, 39th Security Force Squadron first sergeant. "This allows the opportunity for our customer service agencies to take part in this coveted and honored endeavor."

Here are the customer service hours for the following facilities:

· Medical Group: 7:30a.m. - 4 p.m.
· Military Personal Section: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
· Official Document Center: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
· Finance: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
· Legal Office: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
· Public Affairs: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
· NAF Human Resource Office: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
· Starbucks: Sunday - Saturday - 8 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
· Youth Center: School days - 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Non school days - 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Open rec. - closes at 5:30 p.m.
