Members of the 39th Air Base Wing can speed up and expand their legal experience with the new legal assistance kiosk here.

The 39th ABW Judge Advocate office was hand-selected as one of a few bases to receive the new device.

"The kiosk is designed to provide Airmen and eligible beneficiaries information on all facets of our legal services," stated Staff Sgt. Joshua Lewis, 39th ABW JA military justice paralegal. "When you come to the legal office, you can use the kiosk to draft a power of attorney or a will worksheet."

Tech. Sgt. Alexander Puma, 39th ABW JA paralegal, also commented that the kiosk speeds up processes and shortens the waiting time for customers and the office.

"Realistically it is a time saver," Puma said. "The majority of our work comes from processing power of attorneys. It used to take 30 minutes to gather all the customer's information, but now they simply input their information into the kiosk and we are able to pull the information then continue on to the next step."

Lewis also said that customers will be able to use the kiosk to research various topics including consumer affairs laws, family law, tax law, military benefits and more.

"The new kiosk system is great and user friendly," Puma said, "It can provide information about divorce, taxes and laws."

The kiosk is available during normal legal office hours Monday- Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
