Being alert and keeping an eye out for suspicious activities are one of many ways to ensure Incirlik AB remains vigilant and mission ready.

The 39th Air Base Wing Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Office would like to remind everyone to practice good operational security, which includes appropriate disposal of U.S. military apparel.

The ATFP office stresses that it could be detrimental to the mission if an adversary got a hold of a military uniform.

"We want to continuously deny any adversary the ability to blend within our environment," said Master Sgt. Don Walters 39th ABW anti-terrorism officer.

All military uniforms should be disposed of removing of all patches, rank insignia and functional badges followed by either shredding or burning the uniform.

It is important to remove all military ranks and other uniform accessories so no enemies can obtain these items for future exploitation.

"Anything is information," said Staff Sgt. Jennifer Watts, 39th Security Forces Squadron investigator. "We have to take all possible measures to not provide it to potential adversaries."

It is recommended by the ATFP office that you donate your old uniforms to the Base Thrift Store once all uniform attachments have been removed.

Please report any suspicious activity through the Eagle Eyes program at extension DSN 676-3200 or 676-3937.
