Pick of the 'Lik: SSgt Ising - AFN

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey --  Staff Sgt Peter Ising Jr., American Forces Network-Incirlik NCO in charge of radio, was awarded this week's "Pick of the 'Lik" Nov. 6, 2013, here.

As well as being an expert in his craft and being a dedicated mentor to Airmen, he is also a dedicated to local youth and the community.

"Staff Sgt Ising was instrumental to Saturday Night Live Incirlik 2 production," said Master Sgt. Gloria Wilson, 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs superintendent. "The event would not have been the success it was without his guidance, vision and hard work."

Ising spent more than two and a half months preparing for the show. Although he invested his time and talent into the production, he gave up his parts in the show, so that he could keep his promise to an Incirlik Unit High School volleyball team to support them at their out of town game.

The 39th Air Base Wing leadership recognizes Airmen who demonstrate outstanding leadership and job performance abilities.
