Pick of the 'Lik: 39th Air Base Wing Safety Published Jan. 10, 2014 By Airman 1st Class Nicole Sikorski 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- The 39th Air Base Wing Safety Office was awarded this week's "Pick of the 'Lik" Jan. 9, 2014, here. The safety office operates daily with one mission in mind - keeping wing personnel mishap-free. They are responsible for developing abatement processes ranging from birds to bicycles, all the way to munitions. They were recently visited by MAJCOM personnel during a staff assistance visit. With new self-inspection checklists released in the management internal control toolset less than 60 days prior to this visit, they had their hands full. They banded together, demonstrated their compliance and sent MAJCOM personnel back to Ramstein Air Base, Germany with the utmost confidence in the wing's ability to safely perform the mission. The 39th Air Base Wing leadership recognizes Airmen who are handpicked by their unit leadership for demonstrating outstanding leadership and job performance abilities.
