INCILRIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Members of the Incirlik Air Base community celebrated the legacy and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a luncheon Jan. 10, at the Consolidated Club.

The event focused on King's contributions to the civil rights movement and the betterment of American society and included a guest speaker, musical selections and an excerpt of the "I Have a Dream" speech.

The guest speaker, Lt. Col. Bernadette Bowman, 39th Force Support Squadron commander, spoke about how King's convictions should inspire all Airmen to seek and achieve their life's purpose.
