Elizabeth Larson, 39th Force Support Squadron child development center assistant director, was awarded this week's "Pick of the 'Lik" Feb. 26, here.

An instrumental team member of the CDC, Larson stepped in to fill the shoes of the departed training and curriculum specialist. In the this role, she orientates new employees, sets up their training plans and continuously encourages the employees as they go through the rigorous modules of instruction in early childhood development education that each employee must complete.

As assistant director, Larson serves dozens of children, parents and CDC staff every day. Additionally she observes staff members in their working environments and debriefs them on their successes as well as areas for improvement. According to her leadership Larson is often behind-the-scenes at the CDC, but she is an exceedingly important part of the center's success and positive reputation.

The 39th ABW leadership recognizes Airmen who are handpicked by their units for demonstrating outstanding leadership and job performance abilities.
