Lt. Col. Musacchia assumes command of defenders

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Lt. Col. Joseph Musacchia received command of the 39th Security Forces Squadron during a change of command ceremony March 17.

Lt. Col. Lee Curoe, outgoing commander, relinquished command of the 39th SFS to Col. Sean Gallagher, 39th Mission Support Group commander, who then passed command authority to Musacchia, who is serving his second tour at Incirlik Air Base.

A Change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
