The Incirlik Official Document Center stepped up and stepped in to open its doors outside of typical customer service hours for after-hours parcel pick-up, here.

For the first time in United States Air Forces in Europe, personnel who sign up for 24-hour parcel pick-up will be permitted to retrieve ordinary mail at their convenience.

"It's an extra step we can take to ensure great customer service and satisfaction," said Master Sgt Jeremiah Scott, 39th Communications Squadron postmaster.

With shift workers often being at work during postal customer service hours, the ODC has implemented a new system where ordinary mail can be picked up with the use of 30 new combination storage lockers.

The lockers are reusable and will not be assigned to one person in particular.

After-hours parcel pick-up will be available to all personnel, but Airmen working outside the customer service time window will have first priority.

"The 24-hour parcel pick-up service will greatly benefit Airmen at Incirlik," said Senior Airman Brian Winker, 39th Security Forces base defense operations center controller. "Especially people like security forces shift workers who get off when the ODC is closed due to the hours or holidays. It will provide for more timely package deliveries."

Shift workers can request to be put on the 24-hour list through their first sergeant or they can visit the ODC.
