PE cancellations expected during the holidays

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- The Patriot Express was cancelled this week due to a coordination conflict, and was unable to be rectified prior to the local holiday.

The PE is a contracted commercial charter mission that provides support for Incirlik Airmen on orders and their families. The flights offer many amenities and operate the same as commercial carriers.

"Typically during this season we see a major slowdown in personnel moving here on official orders," said Master Sgt. Casey Vargo, 728th Air Mobility Squadron air terminal operations center superintendent. "Family members and Airmen hoping to use the aircraft for space-available travel need to take these days into consideration when planning their vacation or trips."

At this time, the PE is not scheduled to run Nov. 11th/12th, Nov. 25th/26th, Dec. 23rd/24th or Dec. 30th/31st. If you need more information on flights contact the 728th AMS passenger terminal at 676-6001, or visit the terminal anytime between 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
