Incirlik mourns Airman's death Published Nov. 13, 2014 By 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- An Airman assigned to the 39th Security Forces Squadron died at approximately 5:48 p.m., November 12 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany. Airman Basic Dillon Darr, 20, a security forces team member, died as a result of injuries sustained in an off duty incident. On November 8, Airman Darr was found unconscious and unresponsive near his dormitory. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment before being evacuated to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center on November 10. "The 39th Security Forces Squadron, and all of Team Incirlik are deeply saddened by this tragic loss of life," said Col Craig Wills, 39th Air Base Wing commander. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Darr family during this difficult time." The incident is under investigation by the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
