Incirlik AB's main gate reopens Published March 5, 2015 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- A suspicious vehicle was identified by military working dogs and security personnel during a routine check at the front gate at approximately 9:30 a.m. here. As a precaution, security forces closed the front gate, established a cordon and people in the local area were told to shelter-in-place. The 39th Civil Engineering Squadron explosive ordnance disposal team responded to the incident and found the vehicle and passengers to be non-threatening. "The safety of our Airmen and their families is top priority and we take incidents like this very seriously," said Col. Mark Anarumo, 39th Air Base Wing vice commander. "We will investigate incidents like this to the fullest extent to ensure they are secure." The main gate has reopened to the base populace.
