Action Line #150314 Eagle playground improvements

Question: Are there any plans to fix the large playground in the middle of EAGLE housing since it has been basically broke for almost two years now? It keeps getting worse with zero improvements.

Response: Thank you for your question, the quality of life of our Airmen and families is very important to us. There are plans to replace this playground as well as the others located in the EAGLE housing area.  We already have replacement canopies ordered for the existing sunshades expected to arrive in May and will be installed upon delivery.

We also have a project programmed in FY16 to replace and modernize these playgrounds. In the meantime, our base maintenance contractor will continue to replace and maintain the equipment located at this park. Over the past year, continuous repairs have been made to fix damaged items. We have removed unsafe equipment to ensure the safety of all who use the parks.

Please report wrongful use of the parks to prevent further damage as they are meant for children ages 2-12 years. We are excited about modernizing these play areas and will keep the community updated as more information becomes available.
