Effective immediately, U.S. military retirees are again permitted to access health care services at Incirlik Air Base through a new medical access program, here.

The new program allows U.S. retirees and their dependents to access medical care and pharmaceutical services. Recently implemented by the 39th Medical Group, the program was made possible by recent changes in Turkish policy.

"I am very excited that our retirees can again access Incirlik in order to receive health care," said Col. Craig Wills, 39th Air Base Wing commander.  "We recognize the contributions our retirees have made to our nation and to our NATO alliance, and I'm pleased with the recent policy changes that enable us to support them in a more effective way."

In order to receive services, retirees must call the 39th Medical Group's appointment line at 011-90-322-316-6666 to schedule an appointment during designated times on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.  Next, a patient liaison will be assigned to assist with base access.

Due to the base access policy change, retirees must be escorted to and from their appointment and are still prohibited from using base facilities for recreational use as well as visiting Base Exchange, Commissary, and the Official Document Center.

More information on the new medical access program will be mailed to those with valid local addresses and a Tricare staff member will also contact retirees with a valid local phone number to advise them on the new options for obtaining care.

Retirees can still access medical care at Acibadem and Medline hospitals and clinics, which are within the TRICARE network. Retirees may contact International SOS at (44)20-8762-8384 (toll free 008008829200) or visit www.tricare-overseas.com for additional information.
