ODC access for retirees

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Due to the recent base access change, retirees are not authorized to use the Official Document Center.

Retirees with mailboxes should have been contacted by 39th Communications Squadron regarding the process to arrange forwarding instructions.

It is important to note that retirees who receive their Social Security Income benefits do not require an APO box to do so. According to the Social Security Administration, retiree's in a foreign country who receive their SSI in check format are required to go through the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate. Retirees should not be receiving checks via APO or a host nation mailing address. The Consular Office can process retiree's paperwork for Electronic Funds Transfer to either a Turkish or American bank account to eliminate the need for checks.
