Command Post brings home Air Force awards Published June 5, 2015 By Senior Airman Krystal Ardrey 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- The 39th Air Base Wing Command Post was recently awarded three Air Force-level awards, here. Earlier this year, the 39th ABW Command Post won several awards at the U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa-level, earning them the chance to compete against other major command's top command posts. Master Sgt. Royce Kerbow, 39th ABW Command Post senior controller, won the Air Force-level Command Post Unit-Level Senior NCO of the Year Award. Airman 1st Class Phillip McHugh, 39th ABW Command Post controller, won the Air Force-level Command Post Unit-Level Airman of the Year Award. The command post team also was named the Medium Unit Command Post of the Year Award. The command post is in charge of mass notifications, communicating messages with higher headquarters, and scheduling flights as well as the loading and unloading of cargo. Their honors allowed the command post to add to Incirlik Air Base's already extensive list of awards won during 2014.
