INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Maj. Karl Recksiek took command of the 39th Civil Engineer Squadron during a change of command ceremony here, June 16.

Prior to taking command, Recksiek was the president, Chief of Theater Strategic Plans, United States Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa, Ramstien Air Base, Germany.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
