Incirlik mourns loss of 728th AMS Airman

An Airman assigned to the 728th Air Mobility Squadron died at approximately 6:00 p.m. Aug. 14, 2015 at Acibadem Hospital in Adana, Turkey.

Staff Sgt. Michael Proud, 27, an Air Terminal Operations Center information controller, was found unresponsive in his home on base Aug. 14. Proud was then transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.

A remembrance ceremony for Proud is scheduled for Aug. 18 at 6:00 p.m. at Incirlik's passenger terminal pavilion.

"The entire Incirlik community is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Sergeant Proud," said Col. John Walker, 39th Air Base Wing commander. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Proud family during this difficult time."
