Incirlik's no hat, no salute areas policy updated Published Aug. 14, 2015 By Staff Sgt. Caleb Pierce 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- The 39th Air Base Wing commander, Col. John Walker, recently updated the Incirlik Air Base supplement for designated no hat, no salute areas for service members, Aug. 31, here. Customs and courtesies are a part of Air Force culture no matter where a service member is located. Due to the location of certain areas, restrictions have been set in place for the purpose of the mission and safety. Effective immediately, the following areas on Incirlik that are now authorized for no hat, no salute areas include flight line areas, the 39th Operations Squadron pavilion, which is immediately adjacent to the flight line, Patriot Village, the Incirlik Chapel Court Yard, the eating area adjacent to Starbucks, Big City Bowl, Hodja Lakes Golf Course and the American Eatery (Cansu Café). All locations not listed still require the wear of hats and rendering a salute. For any questions, contact your supervisor or first sergeant.
