Maj. Gen. Rick Martin, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center commander, visited with Airmen and received a tour of the 728th Air Mobility Squadron Oct. 17-18, here.

The general's stop at Incirlik included visiting operational aspects of the 728th, recognizing its top performers and speaking with Airmen about the importance of their mission.

"You are part of this incredible organization that brings a lot of things together, a lot of different organizations get rapid mobile deployment done and I guarantee you it doesn't happen without the 728th AMS," said Martin.

728th leadership and Airmen took advantage of Gen. Martin's visit and displayed their squadron's capabilities including command and control, aerial port operations and aircraft maintenance.

"This was a great opportunity for our leadership to see our Airmen in action enabling combat operations," said Lt. Col. George Buch, 728th AMS commander.

Martin encouraged the Airmen to keep up the hard work and continue to strive for sustained superior performance.

"Rapid global mobility happens right here," Martin said. "You get bullets, beans and fuel to the fight. Your guys are rocking it out of the park, continue to do [the mission] and take great pride in what you're doing. We are here to say thank you; you have a world class work force and thanks for everything you're doing for the mission."
