AFN Incirlik to conduct holiday greetings Published Nov. 5, 2015 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Armed Forces Network Incirlik is scheduled to film holiday messages Nov. 6 - 9, 2015, for service members and families who want to send a holiday message to loved ones in the United States. Incirlik AB service members, Department of Defense civilians, and their family members (including pets) from all branches of service are eligible to participate. Holiday greeting recordings for assigned personnel and dependents will be held Friday, Nov. 6 and Thursday, Nov. 12 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. in front of the Base Exchange. An additional recording session will be held Monday, Nov. 9 at Arkadas Park near the stage and will be available for all personnel, but deployed service members will be given priority. Once produced, AFN will send each 15- to 20- second greeting to nearly every commercial TV and radio station within the broadcasting area of the person's chosen location; however, a separate greeting must be made for each desired location. Those who want to record greetings should have the contact information for receiving family members that they want to see the greetings. AFN will need phone numbers to contact family members to let them know when greetings will air. For those with family in more than one city or region, it's possible to record several greetings. AFN will have a script available for people to read or participants can add their own words and messages, but the message must include rank, name, family member's name and locations, and hometown. Service members must be in uniform. Family members should be accompanied by their sponsor, unless the sponsor is deployed.
