‘Larger Than Life’ event strengthens readiness and partnerships at Incirlik Air Base May 26, 2026

Incirlik Air Base personnel participated in a ‘Larger Than Life’ morale event at Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye, May 21, 2026.

The event brought personnel together to compete in a variety of activities, including soccer, volleyball, a boat regatta, tug-of-war, kickball, and other team-based games.

In support of the Department of the Air Force’s Culture of Fitness initiative, the event promoted a holistic approach to readiness by emphasizing physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.

In addition to physical competition, participants had access to mental health classes, helping agencies, and food and entertainment booths hosted by base private organizations.

By combining fitness activities with support resources, the event underscored the importance of caring for the whole person to maintain a resilient and mission-ready force.

Morale events such as LTL play an important role in strengthening camaraderie in a high-tempo, short-tour environment.

Providing an opportunity for U.S. personnel and international partners to step away from their daily duties to compete and connect helps reinforce trust, teamwork, and cooperation across the installation.

Physical fitness and mental well-being are essential components of operational readiness and mission success.

Through events like this, the 39th Air Base Wing continues to foster resilience, strengthen partnerships, and ensure Airmen and Allies remain prepared to defend shared interests.
