The 39th Civilian Personnel Office has once again captured the Outstanding Satellite Civilian Personnel Flight for U.S. Air Forces in Europe. "It's not by accident that they keep coming up as number one," said Maj. Douglas Wall, 39th Mission Support Squadron commander. The 39th CPO excelled this year despite manning issues. Prevailing with the signing of the Collective Labor Agreement between the base and the Turk Harb-is Union. "This was a big issue this year," said Aquiella Grimmage - Smith, 39th CPO human resource specialist supervisor. "We had some issues early on ... we just couldn't come to an agreement. In the end it all worked out for the better." The summer hire program was also a spotlighted this year, which boasted 47 summer hires. "The amazing thing about this program is that it was run exclusively by one person," said Mrs. Grimmage - Smith. "Despite the manning issue, all the paperwork processing was sent to Air Force Personnel Center in enough time that all 47 summer-hires were paid in a timely manner." The personnel really make the wheels-turn said Mrs. Grimmage - Smith and Major Wall couldn't agree more. "The whole team is filled with very hard workers who put in long hours to do the job right," he said. "They also go the extra mile to provide one-on-one assistance to Incirlik's employees. It's that dedication that makes them the best." "The uniform of Airmen helping ensure freedom's future comes in all shapes and styles and the civilian personnel office is a shining example of that," said Col. "Tip" Stinnette, 39th Air Base Wing commander. "The members who work in the civilian personnel office do an outstanding job that can be appreciated across the base. It is no wonder USAFE chose them for the third year in a row."
