A whole new world at the Self-Help Store Published May 15, 2007 By Tech. Sgt. Patrick R. Hyde 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Incirlik's Self-Help Store recently underwent a renovation and reorganization to better meet the needs of its customers. Resembling local hardware stores common in the States, the Self-help Store offers everything needed for minor household maintenance. "We offer many different tools and equipment for the benefit of improving the quality of life for residents here at Incirlik," said Perry Atchley a Self-Help Store employee. In addition to the tools and equipment needed to get the job done, the employees of the Self-Help Store also offer advice on how to get the job done right. "I enjoy helping people do the jobs themselves by providing the means for them to complete it," said Mr. Atchley. "Even though we can't do the job for them, our help is only a phone call away. We will walk you through it step-by-step if necessary. We are here for our customers and will do everything in our power to help them finish the task." The Self-Help Store is located on B Street in Building 438 and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The store is closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. only on Saturday. "Not many people know where we are and what we have to offer," said Mr. Atchley. "(We are) where the customer is always welcome and greeted with a smile."
