The preparation for the Health Services and Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Inspections is the medical equivalent of preparation for the 2007 Unit Compliance Inspection.

Everyone is completing final self inspections and reviewing their sections to ensure we are providing quality care by meeting and exceeding the protocol and criteria set forth by the HSI and AAHC inspection teams.

In short, we have directed our efforts to focus on numerous inspection criteria while correlating them with the way we do everyday business. We are faced with the challenge of maintaining our daily operations and simultaneously preparing for our inspection.

The practices looked at will be a comprehensive review of services provided for the patient population at Incirlik Air Base. Our practice will be inspected for quality of care provided for active-duty members and their dependents.

Team Incirlik can help prepare for the inspection by coming in and signing the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act forms on both their medical and dental records. While in the facility, please go by the TRICARE office and sign up for the TRICARE online booking capability. Then, stop by immunizations and make sure you're current. Additionally, call and schedule your preventive health assessment and post deployment health risk assessment, if needed.

It has been wonderful observing all of the active-duty Airmen coming in to help prepare for the health services inspection by completing all of the above. Thank you!
