If you see someone taking pictures on your base or asking questions about military operations, the Office of Investigations wants to hear from you. Col. Joseph Stoker, a regional commander visited here May 15. He met with 39th Air Base Wing leaders and the base's office of investigations personnel.

Colonel Stoker said that there is terrorist activity all over Europe, and it takes a team approach to ensure our community's safety.

Though it's the law enforcement agencies' job is to catch bad guys, Col. Stoker says everyone in the military community can help. One of the best ways is through the Eagle Eyes program, which he compares a Neighborhood Watch.

"The program is one to encourage Air Force members to report things that are suspicious so that we can work and investigate with our local host nation representatives to figure out if there are bad guys who are targeting us."

The visiting commander said the best way to enjoy your time overseas, and remain safe is to always be aware of your surroundings.

"When you see something suspicious that looks out of place, that you just don't feel is right, you need to report as much of that information as you can and you need to do it in a timely fashion."

Col. Stoker says you should report all suspicious activity to your local law enforcement desk who will work with the host nation's law enforcement officials.
